Frequently Asked Questions: Kayak Adventures
Do I need prior kayaking experience to join a tour?
Not at all! Our kayak tours are beginner-friendly and designed for all skill levels. Your guide will go over basic paddling techniques, water safety, and help you feel confident before heading out.
What should I bring for the kayak tour?
We recommend bringing:
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Reef-safe sunscreen
- Sunglasses (with a retainer strap if possible)
- Refillable water bottle
We provide all the necessary gear, including kayaks, paddles, life vests, and snorkel equipment.
What’s the minimum age for participants?
We recommend kayak tours for guests ages 8 and up. All participants must be comfortable in the water and able to follow basic paddling instructions.
Will I see turtles or whales?
Yes! We often encounter green sea turtles, reef fish, and other marine life. During December through April, our kayak tours also offer excellent opportunities for whale watching — a quiet, up-close experience you won’t get on a crowded boat.
Can I rent a kayak instead of taking a tour?
Currently, we offer guided kayak tours only. These include instruction, safety support, and access to the best reef and wildlife areas — all led by experienced local guides.
Is the tour physically demanding?
Our tours are designed to be relaxed and accessible, but some light paddling and basic swimming comfort are required. If you have mobility or health concerns, feel free to contact us before booking.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, gear up, and complete any required waivers. Tours begin promptly at their scheduled time.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If ocean conditions are unsafe, we’ll contact you to reschedule or issue a full refund. Your safety and comfort are always our priority.
