Paddle across the clear waters of Wailea’s South Shore to snorkel at some of our favorite reef spots. Led by our knowledgeable guides, this tour regularly includes sightings of green sea turtles, reef fish, and sometimes rays. From December to April, this tour transforms into a front-row Kayak Whale Watch — one of Maui’s most unique whale-watching experiences.

Do I need any prior experience to join a tour?
No experience needed! Our kayak, SUP, and Ohana board tours are designed for beginners and first-timers. Your guide will walk you through everything you need to know before you head out — from paddling techniques to water safety.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Reef-safe sunscreen
- Sunglasses (with a retainer strap if possible)
- Refillable water bottle
We provide all necessary paddling and snorkel gear.
What’s the minimum age for participants?
- Kayak & SUP tours: Ages 8+ recommended
- Ohana board tours: Suitable for most ages; younger kids should be accompanied by adults
- Rentals: Ages 10+ with adult supervision
All participants must be comfortable in the water.
Will I see turtles or whales?
We often encounter green sea turtles and colorful reef fish on our paddle tours. During December to April, our kayak and Ohana board tours double as whale-watching experiences, offering a peaceful, up-close view of humpback whales in season.
What is an Ohana Board?
Our Ohana Boards are large, 15’ x 5’ stand-up paddleboards designed for group paddling. They’re ultra-stable, fun, and perfect for families or small groups looking to explore together. Up to 8 adults can ride comfortably.
What is a Scooter Snorkel Tour?
This tour combines paddling and snorkeling with a twist — each guest uses a handheld sea scooter to glide effortlessly through the water. It’s a guest favorite and great for those who want to cover more ground with less effort.
Can I rent gear instead of joining a tour?
Yes! We offer hourly rentals for:
- Single and double kayaks
- Standard SUPs
- Ohana group boards
Rentals include all equipment needed and are available starting at 8:00 AM daily.
Are guided tours worth it if I already know how to paddle?
Absolutely. Our local guides know the best spots for snorkeling, reef viewing, and wildlife encounters. They also provide safety support and can enhance your experience with insights about Maui’s marine life and coastline.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, get fitted with gear, and complete any necessary waivers. Tours begin promptly at their scheduled time.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If ocean conditions are unsafe, we’ll notify you and offer to reschedule or refund your tour or rental. Your safety is our top priority.
